PARTNER - CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT, SOSV
As the partner in charge of Capital Development at SOSV, Daniel is responsible for raising capital for SOSV funds, connecting SOSV's portfolio companies to a global syndicate of investors and providing business development insight and leads.
Daniel has been an Angel investor and advisor to companies across multiple sectors with a focus on FinTech and B-to-C companies.
Daniel brings a decade of experience at financial institutions in business development, fund marketing and investor relations. Daniel headed up these initiatives at Marlette Funding, Serengeti Asset Management and Garrison Investment Group. Over this time, he raised $4 billion of capital and launched several new investment vehicles.
Previously, Daniel performed buy-side investment research. This was primarily at Goldman Sachs and Ermitage. At Goldman, Daniel was a Vice President in the Special Situations Investing Group (aka “the Distressed Prop Desk”). His scope included credit and distressed investments across several sectors. At Ermitage, Daniel was a portfolio manager for fixed income, credit and event driven investment strategies.
Daniel started his career as a management consultant with PriceWaterhouseCoopers. He was primarily focused on enhancing risk management infrastructure for South American banks. He developed an expertise in building credit scoring and loan pricing models.
Daniel has a BA in English from the University of Pennsylvania and a JD from Fordham Law School.
