As legal counsel at SOSV, William provides oversight on legal issues for SOSV’s US-based programs. He is specifically involved in entity formation for new companies and regularly advises founders and the firm on US law and regulatory requirements.

William has been working with startups for nearly 10 years in a variety of areas. In his work, he counsels entrepreneurs regarding startup planning and legal issues confronted by early stage companies, including entity formation, preparation of the company’s business plan, financing, structuring, and drafting the various corporate agreements among stockholders and partners. He also advises on securities financing, sales agreements, intellectual property licensing, and other business contracts and filings.

William graduated from University of Michigan with a BA in Economics and Political Science. William is also a Director at the First Step Foundation, which provides financial resources, support, and personal training services to people with gross and fine motor disabilities.
