I’m a cardiologist and co-founder of Ember Medical Inc. I want to revolutionize medical emergency response using crowdsourcing technologies in order to save lives and reduce health care costs. As a biotech entrepreneur, I’m particularly interested in fixing health care problems in a patient-centric approach. Biotech solutions that consider the complexity of health consumer behaviors and needs are the key to creating an alternative and bright future for health care.

I obtained my MD from Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar in 2010. Subsequently, I moved to USA and completed my residency in Internal Medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital and my fellowship in Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology at the Cleveland Clinic. I’m currently an assistant professor of medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine.

My other research interests include preventive cardiology and atrial fibrillation (https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=FVxMt4YAAAAJ). I’m a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the American Heart Association and the European Society of Cardiology.
