Announcing the 2026 VC-Founder Therapeutics Matchup, with meetings taking place online between July 13th (Monday) and July 17th (Friday).

This virtual event will bring together 250+ startups and 250+ investors for 1:1 meetings online, scheduled at mutually convenient times.

It is designed to connect investors with founders building the next generation of therapeutics companies, across modalities, disease areas, and stages of development.

We have companies working on small molecules, biologics, cell and gene therapies, RNA, peptides, vaccines, drug delivery, radiopharmaceuticals, AI-enabled discovery platforms, companion diagnostics, devices, and other approaches advancing the future of medicine.

You’ll also see a wide range of disease focus areas, including oncology, immunology, CNS, metabolic disease, infectious disease, rare disease, women’s health, aging, pain, and more.

As usual, the goal of the Matchup is simple: make it easier for the right founders and the right investors to find each other quickly. Participants will be able to use our platform to review profiles, filter by modality, disease area, development stage, regulatory status, and asset/platform type, and book meetings with the companies most relevant to their interests.

In 2025, SOSV Matchups generated over 6,500 one-on-one meetings in categories that included Health Tech, Climate Tech, and Robotics, receiving high praise from over 4,400 participants:

  • “It’s months of deal flow in a single week” (investor)
  • “High quality meetings.” (investor)
  • “The most value we’ve ever received.” (startup founder)
  • “I had more VC meetings in a week than in the past 6 months.” (startup founder)

Who should attend?

Therapeutics investors and startups up to series B.

How do we define Therapeutics?

Therapeutics is the development of interventions that prevent, treat, manage, or cure disease by modifying biological processes in patients.

It combines advances in biology, chemistry, engineering, data science, and medicine to discover, develop, and deliver new treatments across a wide range of diseases and conditions. Unlike diagnostics, which focus on detecting or monitoring disease, therapeutics are intended to produce a clinical benefit by directly affecting disease mechanisms, symptoms, or patient outcomes.

Therapeutics includes technologies such as small molecules, biologics, antibodies, peptides, RNA therapeutics, cell therapies, gene therapies, vaccines, radiopharmaceuticals, microbiome therapeutics, and novel drug delivery approaches. It also encompasses platform technologies and computational approaches that enable the discovery, design, and development of new therapeutic products.

The field spans the full development lifecycle, from target discovery and drug design through preclinical research, clinical development, regulatory approval, manufacturing, and commercialization.

FAQs

Q: Why is SOSV doing this?

  • More connections lead to more investments and help grow this ecosystem.
  • SOSV is a leader in therapeutics investing with over 50 portfolio companies in the category. The matchups helps the SOSV team find new investment prospects as well as help our existing portfolio companies find new investors.

Q: What is the duration of meetings?

  • 20 minutes + option to extend. Meetings start on the hour or half-past. There is a 10 minute buffer between slots.

Q: Can I connect outside the Grip platform?

  • Yes. You can use Calendly or equivalent to set up outside meetings using Zoom, Teams, Meet, etc.
  • All participants share their LinkedIn URL so you can connect there too.

Q: What can I expect as a founder?

  • Possibly the most detailed list of investors in robotics, including their favorite categories, stages and geographies.
  • While it is not easy, you can expect some – or lots of – meetings. The most successful participants have dozens of meetings in a single week, unfortunately many have none. We share best practices to help you maximize this opportunity. In short: start early and target well.

Q: What can I expect as an investor?

  • An exceptionally detailed list of startups, easy to filter, and with (in most cases) pitch decks.
  • The most successful participants invest time to identify the right targets and reach out to founders proactively.
  • An overflow of meeting requests. Unfortunately it’s the nature of the beast: hundreds of founders are hoping to find funding!
  • SOSV has already invested in 10 startups we found during matchups, and dozens of other investors have reported deals too.
