Lucas is the co-founder of Amber Agriculture, an agtech company focused on introducing precision throughout postharvest processes beginning with grain management automation.

Growing up on a farm in Central Illinois, his previous industry exposure has been rooted in helping agri-businesses succeed through service support in finance and consulting. Notable deliverable work includes market sizing for a Fortune 100 company, developing a cloud-based CRM tool to increase cross-selling initiatives, and conducting market research for industry insights analyses.

While at the University of Illinois, Lucas served in a variety of leadership capacities across campus. Among other experiences throughout his four years, he represented the student body of 44,000 as the Student Trustee on the University of Illinois Board of Trustees, emceed the main Illinois welcome week event attended by 8,000+ new students, and developed a marketing campaign for the Assembly Hall that secured funds leading to majority student support for the largest renovation project in school history.
