At HAX, Brit serves as the Office Manager, bringing extensive experience from diverse sectors to streamline operations, manage executive coordination, and foster vibrant community connections.
Brit Harley is a dedicated community-builder and advocate for youth development, deeply invested in Newark’s growth and well-being. As the co-founder of the Newark News & Story Collaborative, an initiative launched through the prestigious John S. Knight Community Impact Fellowship, the organization has led the training of over 100 Newark residents in journalism and media production, addressing information disparities and amplifying community voices.
Her innovative strategies and operational expertise consistently drive organizational excellence, earning recognition such as being honored by the Essex County Board of County Commissioners in 2024. Brit holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, with a minor in Political Science, from Saint Peter’s University.
Outside of work, Brit is happiest hitting a two-step at a local house music festival, spending time with their partner and celebrating community and culture.
