Alex is a Partner at SOSV and Senior Director at SOSV SF, investing at the pre-seed companies across deep tech sectors including biotech, materials science, chemistry, and applied AI. Beyond capital deployment, he works directly with founders on the operational challenges of building category-defining companies—helping them raise follow-on rounds, develop go-to-market strategies, and forge strategic partnerships.

With SOSV SF since its early days, Alex has contributed to developing the program into a leading deeptech investor. He holds a PharmD from the University of Iowa, giving him the scientific grounding to evaluate complex technical claims across biological and physical sciences.
