An avid tinkerer and writer, she has worked in geochemical and metallurgical engineering labs as well as a content editor at a leading biomimetic consultancy. She brought the idea of bridging cleantech and biomimicry to NASA Ames. This would eventually become the start up NuLeaf. She’s particularly interested in natural infrastructure, biomimicry, and the circular economy.
Rachel has degrees in biology and chemistry with a focus in environmental chemistry from Drexel University. She has a certificate in management from Stanford University.
