Pae Wu is a General Partner at SOSV and Chief Technology Officer at SOSV SF. Her portfolio includes companies destroying forever chemicals in our water, deploying advanced sensors to keep the public safe, and dramatically reducing our dependence on petroleum. Pushing technology’s limits to address intractable problems is the common thread in Dr. Wu’s work over 15 years as a technologist and investor in U.S. government and corporate settings. At SOSV, her rigorous training as an engineer and scientist is on display every day as she works with our founders to make emerging technologies into commercially viable, breakthrough solutions for national security, humanity, and the planet.

Prior to joining SOSV, Pae served as the Scientific Director of Telefónica’s moonshot factory – Alpha (Barcelona), Science Director at the US Office of Naval Research – Global (Singapore), and technical consultant at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). She holds degrees in Electrical Engineering from Duke (PhD) and Princeton (BS).
