Calin Plesa is a Co-founder and Platform Architect at SynPlexity, where he brings over a decade of expertise in multiplexed gene synthesis. He co-developed DropSynth, a scalable and cost-effective technology for synthesizing thousands of genes in parallel, and has continued to advance this platform through his lab at the University of Oregon. Calin holds multiple patents related to DropSynth and high-throughput synthetic biology, and has been recognized with a CASI award from the Burroughs Wellcome Fund and New Innovator Award from the NIH. He combines deep technical insight with a passion for building tools that enable next-generation bioengineering.
