After moving around China and Japan throughout childhood, Miki settled in the US for high school and went on to the University of Michigan for a degree in business administration. She was involved in the Entrepreneurship program at Michigan, where she founded a small recycled-art business which she then sold. Prior to HAX, Miki spent three years as a consultant with McKinsey in Chicago, Tokyo, and Ethiopia serving corporate and public sector clients on growth and innovation related topics.
Miki is trilingual, she speaks Japanese, Chinese, and English. She is a Taekwondo Red-Black belt, snowboarder, surfer, and avid traveler.
