Authenticating people, not just credentials.
Founded in 2013, SensiPass set out to develop a better user authentication system, one that would overcome the (entire) multitude of problems with the ubiquitous username/password. This was to not only an effort to address the challenges of typical users needing secure access to digital and physical assets, but also to provide accessible security for users challenged by language or physical limitations such as mobility or dyslexia. Our solution was to make the “knowledge factor” (typically a password) an interaction with a user-specified asset, e.g. their own biometric or other object that befits their capabilities.
Since then, we have been awarded relevant patents in the UK, US, EU, Japan and China and have patents pending in Korea and India. We have also begun pursuing another set of claims in the US originally filed by Mike Hill (founder) in 2011.
Recap of Results:
-Bulletproof credential databases: our digital signature is highly dynamic, enabling us to reject any exact matches, eliminating the risk of replay attacks from stolen credentials.
-Integrated, secure credential self-resets
-Un-shareable credentials: users cannot share their interactive secrets and biometrics, ensuring the identification and accountability of users accessing assets and executing transactions.
-Proof-positive identity assurance: as the only authentication product designed from the beginning to include all three factors, we offer the highest level of identity assurance available, eliminating the risk of insider threats to your organisation.
-Single ID for mobile, desktop and physical access: our system can support all levels of digital and physical access control in a single system.
